Areal has, as previously announced, since spring 2009 launched an initiative to establish operations in the Baltic countries.

We have been careful with the preparations, well aware of the need for local support to succeed in a new market. We have therefore chosen to work with Catella Baltic, which is represented in all three countries, with headquarter in Riga.

Paul Platais and Alexandrs Tralmaks are our partners and responsible for Catella's business there. In addition to a solid local presence and knowledge, they also speak excellent Swedish and English, which facilitates contacts and work.

During this fall we have worked with our first important project, the forest estate Incana, a project we expect to finalize as planned before the end of the year.

At the same time, we are also working to prepare several other projects, which hopefully will be launched during 2011.

Our engagement in the Baltic countries has attracted considerable interest and we have noticed that there is a great demand for our services and the type of structured process of working, that Areal since many years has developed and worked with in Sweden.

We are now going one step further and have engaged Oskar Danielsson as operations manager for Areal's Baltic projects.

Oscar has already worked with us as a consultant since spring 2009 and he has a past as a project manager and later on last year as CEO of a technology and an event company in Norrköping.

Under the leadership of Oskar and in cooperation with Catella, we will now further develop our business in the Baltic countries and we hope to announce new projects during the spring 2011.
